Earthquake in Haiti

It is very depressing to write one day about a Haitian story of hope, only to see disaster strike them the next day.

My prayers go out to everyone in Haiti, their family and loved ones, my Haitian students in Massachusetts (some of which have not yet heard word from their families), and for a dear friend and old colleague who lost a family member in Tuesday’s earthquake.

Below you will find links to sites where you can donate to support the relief effort in Haiti: a logistical nightmare.

(Important: Though I’ve checked these sites and all of them seem trustworthy, make sure your donations are reaching the right people and heed FBI advisories.)

World Vision Online

Catholic Relief Services

American Red Cross

Doctors Without Borders

International Medical Corps
